Mission Statement

Mountain Area Recovery Center (MARC) is a client centered strength-based treatment program designed to assist adults addicted to opiate drugs in their recovery from addiction so that they can experience a more satisfying and productive life.  MARC will assist persons in their quest for recovery from opioid addiction through the proper and skilled use of prescription medications, combined with a mutually respectful counseling relationship and medical case management.   All services at Mountain Area Recovery Center are voluntary.

MARC uses the comprehensive model of strength-based, biopsychosocial treatment services.  This model includes: comprehensive methadone maintenance treatment and detoxification services delivered according to state and federal guidelines; evaluation and referral for treatment of primary health concerns with an emphasis on infectious diseases such as hepatitis C, TB and HIV; evaluation, treatment by the on staff psychiatrist, and/or referral for secondary psychiatric diagnoses such as major depression or bipolar disorder.  MARC offers a treatment that is a periodic service for those who require medication assisted treatment to achieve and sustain recovery from opioid addiction.
